Evidence to Submit – FMP checklist

3D Model

  • All files and .c4d files need to be in one folder. When saving in Cinema 4D use ‘save project’. This the .c4d files as
  • well as all the materials you have created, found and used.
  • Use ‘save incremental’ – just in case you make a mistake.
  • If you’re rendering an image for A2 the size is as follows: 3508 x 2480 and should be set for 150dpi
  • Animation

  • 30–60 seconds in length (can be made up of one or more animations)
  • Saved as a ‘Quicktime Movie’
  • Resolution should be set to 640 x 480
  • A separate .c4d file should be saved in the animation folder.
  • A2 Presentation

  • 594mm x 420mm
  • Must include the name of your product and a few features to best sell it.
  • Think about different ways of rendering an image for different effects.
  • Here’s a break down of how you’re folder should look like with all work needed to be handed in.

ALL ICT WORK MUST BE HANDED IN ON CD. IF IT’S NOT ON CD IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

That you have one more week before half term. All models should have been started and should be finished by either this week or next. It is IMPERATIVE that you also create A2 presentations for the show. Some of you have decided not to make real scale models and have opted for 3D rendered models and images, if this is the case you should be on course for completion before half term.

If you are starting your A2 presentation you may want to look back at old posts for sizing and presentation style etc: A2 Size

You all know what you have to do.

    FMP – Planning Paperwork

    Posted: May 4th, 2010 | Author: Kornelius | Filed under: 2nd year | Tags: | No Comments »

The weeks are passing by fast and some of know what you’re doing… but some of you don’t. Sometimes the hardest thing about a project is starting it. What sometimes helps is to put together a plan of action, of what you are going to do by when. I have put together a planner that you can use and so that I can see what you are actually doing as the weeks pass by. This should be brought with you to every lesson as well as the work that you have produced. The next week few weeks will be one to one based and I shall be reviewing what you have been doing and what you need to do. This way all your individual needs are met.

So for this lesson you will be given a sheet which breaks down what you need to do. Then you will also be given a planner where in which you will fill out accordingly. Here’s the planner: FMP-Planner
